Web poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to 21 than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the croupier announcing "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the different players receive 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you must either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes directly to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus a figure in accordance with the original bet. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The bank pays out cash even with your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
