Internet poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its television scores. Over the years many variants on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the casino rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other players are given 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or accede. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantaneously to the casino. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with an amount on par with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The house pony’s up chips even with your bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
