The entry to these freerolls is – as the name indicates – cost-free and jackpot $$$$$ can vary from a couple of bucks for placing to a few hundred dollars for capturing the big freeroll Texas Holdem poker tournaments.
So why do the poker websites have free tournaments? Is it because of their extremely altruistic nature and the fact that they earn massive amounts of money so they feel a moral obligation to give some of it back?

Here is the theory boiled down – You hear that a site has an awesome freeroll, it costs you nada to participate in and you can come away with one hundred dollars. You think "fantastic!" and you go along to the site and get registered as a member so you can participate in the freeroll. You bet and get knocked out quickly and are annoyed due to the fact that you feel you should have done much better, or you get near the end and so you’re looking for even more action. What do you do? You wager some $$$$$ at the poker site and gamble on a different poker game!
Frequently check out the freerolls for payout constraints, you will nearly always need to participate in a few hands for real $$$$$ before they permit you take the money out.
